Tribunals and Reports
REPORTS AND TRIBUNAL INFORMATION
WBA tribunal cases are heard by an independant board of volunteers, with the majority of cases taking place at the Waverley Basketball Stadium.
Reports can be made by Referees, Referee Supervisors, Referee Coaches or Stadium Officials.
After a report is made the WBA will contact the reported person or team to advise them of the charges and any tribunal details. The WBA does not deal with specific cases, once the report is made, players and teams must prepare their evidence for the tribunal.
In some cases, minor charges may be referred to ‘Alternate Procedure’, where a formal hearing may not be required. This is at the discretion of the relevant tribunal chairperson.
Where a formal hearing is required, reported persons and teams are entitled to bring a witness to the tribunal.
Where any person or team wishes to appeal a tribunal outcome, details on how to appeal will be made available at the tribunal hearing.
